An award of £250 is kindly granted by Taylor & Francis – publishers of the Journal of Institute of Conservation (JIC) – for Icon to present to an author who has contributed to the Journal over the past year. The criteria used to select the award winner is based on meeting one or more of the criteria:
- A new author
- An emerging professional
- A newly accredited member of Icon
As a textile conservator, Moe's article, co-authored with Anita Quye, describes her research into identifying an alternative surfactant with better efficacy in removing soiling when used in the wet cleaning of textiles. You can read about her work here.
